Snow Shoeing

On Friday, I went snow shoeing for the first time. I met up with some friends and we went to the Spring Trail at Beaver Mountain. It was awesome to be up in the mountains enjoying the blue sky, sparkling snow and friends. It was also so good for me to be out of the inversion. Yeah for clean air!

Great Week

We have had an amazing week.

Jaden and Aubre brought home their report cards. Can you believe it? All A's. We are so proud of our kids and the way the conduct themselves at school and elsewhere. We are blessed with great kids.

We had a wonderful friend that returned from his mission in Chile on Friday, Jared Day. It has been powerful to interact with him the last few days. He is so full of hope, love, energy and he seriously glows. He is radiant. I just want to soak in his spirit and I want my family to recognize the power there and get excited about missionary work.

Yesterday the USU football team played in the Potato Bowl in Boise, Idaho. Bret and Jaden went with Nathan and Eric Thompson and Tyler and Matt Robbins.

While the boys were at the USU football game, the girls and I went to Grandma Ellen's for our annual Christmas Candy making event. Yes, we did eat until we felt sick!

Last night while the boys were traveling home from the Potato Bowl (USU lost, 24-23) Aubre, Kaimbre and I went with friends to the USU basketball game. We had a ton of fun.

Blessings

I am trying to get in the habit of posting every Sunday. Nothing exciting has happened this week to write about. However, I can always post about our many blessings.
Our furnace went out one day this week. I am grateful for blankets, for a warm body next to me in bed and that our house is small enough to keep warm. I am also grateful for Bret's friend to fix the furnace the next day.
I am grateful for health. We are all able to physically do so many things. We are blessed to have good health.
I am grateful for wonderful people in our lives. We are surrounded by great people in our neighborhood. We have so many wonderful friends. We are especially blessed to have our extended family close to us.
I am grateful for the gospel in our lives and all of the blessing that the gospel brings to us. We have knowledge, peace and faith. We are grateful for this season to celebrate the birth of our Savior.
Truly we are such a blessed family.

We totally enjoyed having a break from our normal routines this week! It was so nice to have the kids home from school and Bret not at work as much. We ate a lot, spent time with friends and watched the Aggies win in both Football and Basketball yesterday. Go Aggies!

We have decorated the house for the Christmas season and the boys even went shopping on Black Friday. They say it was for stuff for the Central Valley Machine Christmas Party. We'll see.

Christmas will be here soon. I am hoping that we can soak up every second of the holiday.

Week of Thanksgiving

This is such an wonderful week upon us. We are blessed in so many ways. We are grateful that Jerry and Audre have begun their missionary service. They have been at the MTC for one week now. They will get to come home on Wednesday of this week, so we will be having them over for Thanksgiving Dinner at our house. This is the first time we have hosted such an event.
There are so many things that we are grateful for. We are blessed with good health, good friends, good jobs and wonderful family surrounding us. We are so grateful for those many great people in our lives. We are grateful for the blessings of living the gospel and the knowledge and comfort that brings us. Happy Thanksgiving!
